A little about me...

I am passionate about people and technology and the curiosity that fuels brigding the two aspects with functional designs. I have always been interested in learning about humans across all stages of civilization. I have a background in Classics and Ancient Studies.

I have a special interest in EduTech, Health, Recreation and Wellness, and FinTech. I love soccer, hip hop music, and watermelons. I still believe dòdò (fried plantain) is therapeutic. If you don’t know, now you know. Pivoting from the humanities to UX Design has been interesting as well as familiar. It has emboldened me to be curious and to stay curious.

Pivoting from the humanities to UX Design has been interesting as well as familiar. It has emboldened me to be curious and to stay curious. I started out studying Material culture and languages, now I study Material Design, forms, shapes, and how they can be used to create exciting products for humans. With a bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Classics and a diploma in UX Design, my genuine curiosity about humans and cultures has helped me to understand the nuances in how humans interact with the world and how to navigate different personas when creating human-centered design.

I recently completed my UX diploma program at BrainStation. I designed a solution that provides a support system for new international students in Canada, the HelloMentor app. This gave me the opportunity to see first hand how important it is to give back to the community when life is challenging.

My desire for growth as an individual and as a professional is stimulated by an eclectic creative process. This keeps me open to finding inspiration and creative artifacts in various fields and environments. These days, you’ll find me learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript and concurrently improving my design skills.

If you’d like to learn more about my design approach and current projects, reach out! I’d love to hear from you.
